Well. I've been having this annoying problem with my license key on Autocad 2016 for a few weeks now. The key is activated, I can open Autocad on my mac (I'm using the trial), but when I go back into the key generator (to make a key) I get this:
That message is trying to tell me that it can't find the license key in the registry, or it can't find the license key file, or it can't find the "registry.plist" file. It isn't any of those things.
I'm quite certain that it's the right key. I have three versions, 2.0, 2.0 Legacy, and 2.1, and I have two of them with the same key. Both work perfectly fine when I'm using them.
In another reply in this forum, someone said that it may be a corrupt file. I'm fairly sure it isn't because I tried downloading the program again, but it still fails. And if I check the "Options" tab, it's not the option for it to fail every time I try to run it. I also copied over my license file and the license file isn't in any other location.
I even tried downloading the latest updates for Autocad, but it still doesn't work.
I have never had a license problem before and it's an amazing program. I also bought the 2-year X-FORCE key from X-FORCE, just in case it had anything to do with it, and it still fails to work.
